It’s not over. It’s just the beginning. Come celebrate the end of our festival but the beginning of something beautiful. Imani Uzuri with Her Holy Water from her Rock Opera will blow you away. Oakland-based beauty, Femi will represent the East Bay in this smart party of all smart parties. And, Melina Jones of San Francisco will spit some words of herstory and wisdom. Women Re-Birthing Justice will also involve dance by Culture Shock, whacked-out moves by Velocity Circus, a secret guest; and coming straight from San Jose fresh from the Brave New Voices Annual Youth Speaks competition, Youth Speaks Hawaii. Special encore performance by conscious funked-out rockers X-Factor will represent the 808. We’re going to send GiRL FeST Bay Area off right with love and solidarity, truly a Safe Zone event.
